M.M.I.F.C.S.S. is a partnership between the Province of Alberta and municipalities of Villages of Mannville, Minburn, Innisfree and County of Minburn #27.

  
History

It all began is 1978 when some Mannville and area residents realized the need for support services in the community.
At that time a committee was struck and they attempted to get provincial assistance to operate a Preventive Social Services program. To their disappointment, they were turned down. However that did not deter this committee and they formed Yellowhead Community Support Society [May 1980], without provincial aid. Mabel Eschak took on the role of volunteer director and began operating programs such as Meals on Wheels and Home Support and Handyman services. Yellowhead funding came from various contracts: Minburn-Vermilion Health Care Unit, Social Services and Department of Veteran Affairs. Read more about our history
